What Is A Linear Stepper Motor?

Linear stepper motors, or linear stepper motors, are made of a magnetic rotor core that rotates by interacting with a pulsed electromagnetic field generated by a stator, and linear stepper motors convert rotary motion into linear motion within the motor.

The basic principle of a linear stepper motor: a screw and nut are used to engage, and some method is adopted to prevent the screw and nut from rotating relative to each other, thus allowing the screw to move axially. Generally speaking, there are two ways to realize this transformation, the first is built in the motor with a rotor with internal threads to rotor threads and screw engagement to achieve linear motion, the second is to screw as a motor out of the shaft, in the motor outside through an external drive nut and screw engagement to achieve linear motion. The result is a greatly simplified design that enables precision linear motion in many applications to be achieved directly with linear stepper motors without the installation of an external mechanical linkage. Linear stepper motors are used in a wide range of applications including manufacturing, precision calibration, precision fluid measurement, precise positional movement, and many other areas where high precision is required.
